Renewable Raw Materials for the Chemical Industry

Working Group

The Working Group consists solely of industrial experts. Its aim is to formulate requirements and research needs for the use of raw materials as feedstock, as perceived by industry.
Priority is given to topics ranging from the selection and processing of raw materials, conversion into platform chemicals, their separation and further conversion through to process integration (integrated bioproduction).
Currently R&D focuses on the areas of reaction and process screening, process integration, determination of secondary products, and the identification and use of waste streams.
