Adsorption - Delving into the Molecular Scale
Mehr Informationen: Programme
The use of adsorption in technical applications is versatile and extensive, covering areas such as material separation and storage, high purity products, high quality pharmaceuticals, heat pumping and heat storage, and a wide range of other purifica-tion processes. The scale of the applications comprises micro plants with production rates of only a few grams per day, up to 'mega' plants converting tens of thousands of tonnes per day. With such extensive operating ranges, the boundaries of which are continually being pushed, the mutual creative exchange between universities and industry is of vital interest for the continuous development of the adsorption art.
The ProcessNet working party 'Adsorption' was founded in 1998 at DECHEMA with the aim to promote technical and scientific exchange between R&D teams working in the field of adsorption. One of the objectives of the group was to consolidate and 'top' the various conferences of the past, leading to the first Adsorption Symposion at the Evangelische Akademie in Tutzing.
Traditionally, the symposion attracts many internationally elected scientists, experts, decision-makers and renowned masters of the art. The language of the conference is English.
The themes of the five central topics are: uses of adsorption processes; how can we design an adsorption process using the proper data; which materials do we need; how should we model the surface features of the various materials with physical methods; and what will be the future trends in Chromatography and Adsorption technique. The programme will be rounded up by four keynote lectures and a panel discussion and last, but not least, social events at the beautiful Lake Starnberg.
The presentations will be published afterwards in a special edition and we hope that this will contribute to more intensive communication within the adsorption field.
We are looking forward to you joining us to experience the true atmosphere of acade-mia in Tutzing at another successful and enjoyable conference.
