de: Projektkontrolle

Project control is a process of controlling the investment of resources in a facility where investments are made by the execution of a project. Project control includes the general steps

  1. project planning including project cost and scheduling oversight,
  2. measuring project performance,
  3. comparing dimensions with project plans, and
  4. correcting, mitigating, or improving of activities defined by forecasts and other planning activities.

Defining project progress and status in relation to the selected schedule is a key element of the process. (See Cost Control, Planning, and Scheduling)
